It may also occur in weight lifters or as the result of supplemental testosterone. The fullness may be as a result of fat accumulation or breast tissue growth. The approach utilized to treat the condiiton depends upon what is the cause. In patients where the tissue is mostly glandular, a small incision is created below the nipple and the excess tissue is identified. This is then trimmed to create a flat masculine appearance. The incision is then closed. In some men, the cause is localized fat. In this situation, the fat can be removed with liposuction that only requires a tiny incision. Some patients require a combination of procedures to create the maximal result. The recovery time is quick and the results gratifying. |
